Dear Jerry,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a painting made in oil or acrylic paint on canvas with the measurements of 32 x 24 inches. The painting depicts the inner court of a mosque with characteristically blue glazed tiles. This is highly possible the "Shah Mosque" in Isfahan (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shah_Mosque_(Isfahan)). Such paintings were made and offered mainly for tourists as souvenirs by numerous artists who are not listed in the auction result database. This painting was made by a not academical educated artist as we can see with the depiction of the details and the perspectival depiction of the three-dimensional architecture. It was made in the second half of the 20th century.
Works by this artist were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 200 to 400 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
