I have numerous silver small shot glasses. They are 1 1/2 inches tall and about 1 inch in diameter at the mouth. The inside of each has a gold tint to it. The makers mark on the bottom of glass/beaker is: POT & Ce
I acquired these at an estate auction in Belgium
These are metal shot glasses for liquor. The set was produced in the early to mid 20th century by a French firm known as Pot & Cie. Cie is like Co. in English, the abrreviated term for Compagnie or Company. Pot & Cie was a small business known for making pewter kitchen and entertaining wares. The gold interior is referred to as 'parcel gilt'. The exterior decorative scrolling acanthus leaf around rim is done in repousse, or pushed out from the inside. There is a French restaurant in Paris currently named Pot & Cie, however they do not seem related. The estimate is based on actual past auction sale records of comparables and is for one individual show glass as the total number of these is not mentioned.
