Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal this appears to be an etching by Jules JACQUET (1841-1913) after the painting "La laitiere-The milkmaid" by Jean Baptiste Greuze (1725-1805). Fully signed in pencil "Jules Jacquet" and an additional depiction of a milk maid milking a cow lower right in the margin. Prices for etchings by Jules Jacquet after famous paintings have consistently been selling well below 100 US$ for the last 20 years. There was only one exception for a large military related scence which sold for approx. 1500 US$. In the 1970s print prices were much higher, but never that high. I have no explanation for this off the chart appraisal. My estimate is based on recent auction results of actually sold prints. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the item.
