Dear Shirley,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a small-sized watercolor on paper with unknown measurements. The watercolor depicts a small city of the village with a river and a church in the background. It is signed in the right corner by the English artist Louis Burleigh BRUHL (1861-1942). this artist mainly painted watercolors with landscape views from England.
Works by this artist were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in damaged condition and there is damage to the left edge of the paper visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 30 to 60 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
