This desk epitomizes Victorian oak furniture: large, sturdy and as functional as it is decorative. The green baize top suggests that it was in heavy use and may have been there to protect the wood beneath it.
Most Victorian double-pedestal oak desks (called a partner's desk only if the same drawer configuration is on both sides) are currently selling at auction for between $500-800.

The inset green-baize (felt) top within a molded lip raised on a case fitted with a gadrooned central short drawer flanked by two stacks of four short drawers, the bottom three hidden behind locking hinged paneled cupboard doors, all on a box base on short bun feet. Unsigned.
