Τό αντικείμενο βρέθηκε σέ διαμέρισμα στο Κολωνάκι όπου έμενε συγγενής που έχει φύγει από τήν ζωή και νομίζουμε ότι αποκτήθηκε στήν δεκαετία του 1960.

Thanks for your additional information. This is a simple constructed foldable sundial. Inside there is a dial and a compass to position the sundial regarding to the right position. This object is made out of teak or tropical wood, brass, and glass. The writings on the dial proof that this dial was made in France in the mid respectively second half of the 20th ct. The dial was found in a Louis Vuitton paper case. Interestingly there is no Louis Vuitton label on the sundial itself and probably the sundial is not made by Louis Vuitton. It is probably just kept in a Louis Vuitton paper box. An estimation would be from 20 to 40 USD.
