This is a vintage early 20th century demilune shaped marble top Italianate console table. The manner in which the wood is carved is indicative of 20th century. The 'gilding' appears to be spray painted. Gold leaf is usually done with small square patches and the outlines of the squares are seen on gold leaf work. The nail heads and screws used are all 'modern' 20th century. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables.
