82x67x1.5cm incl frame, have been exposed to some humidity on the back
My russian step mother in the 1990s. She is a friend of Mikhail. He has done artwork in her home in Stockholm. I have also an unsigned art work as well from him.
Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a lithograph in colour by Mikhail CHEMIAKIN (1943), also known as
Michel CHEMIAKINE , Mikhail SHEMYAKIN , Michail SEMJAKIN depending on how you transcribe the cyrilic letters. This particular lithograph has been titled "thick and thin" and was published in an edition of 300, the print in your possession is numbered 152/300 and should measure 76 x 54 cm, it was pencil signed by the artist lower right. Lithographs by the artist usually sell in the price range as listed above. But this particular print sold for over 2000 USD (?)recently at auction in the Ukraine. I can´t corroborate this information, it might be just a calculation error or alternative payments are involved. You might want to exchange the backing cardboard for acid free cardboard. The provenance you mentioned adds a little to the value.
