Hello!
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. So that I may best assist you, can you please give me a more specific breakdown of this set? It's useful to know if there are the same number of dinner/lunch/salad/dessert/bread plates as there are soup/fruit/dessert bowls as well as cups and saucers. Also how many serving pieces, and which ones?
Thanks,
Delia
Hello,
Noritake was one of the most popular names for dinnerware in the mid 20th Century; not only was it handsome and serviceable but it was also comparatively affordable. Increasingly few people today, however, entertain in such a formal way and the market is saturated with services of varying sizes, colors, etc. Because there is less demand than supply, fair-market / auction prices for Noritake remain low, typically bringing $4-8 PER PIECE, though large services with a similar number of pieces per place can warrant the value of $6-10/piece.
Based on your description, you probably have about 100 pieces and that's what I've valued this service on but if you can provide a more accurate piece count, I'm happy to refine the value.
Thanks,
Delia
