Dear Mayur,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a watercolor on paper with the measurements of 75 x 55 cm. The drawing depicts a wide landscape with a road in the foreground and has the title "The Timber Wagon". This artwork was probably made by Percy LANCASTER (1878-1951).
Works by this artist were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in medium condition and there are stains visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 50 to 100 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
Dear Mayur,
Dear Mayur,
We adapt our estimations to actual and reached auction results of the last years. This process mirrors a comparative value and mirrors and actual market situation. This means also that an object should not just be adapted to the highest hammer prices and you also have to see the mid-range and low range hammer prices to define an adequate estimate.
With kind regards,
Georg
