Picasso's painting oil on canvas ln the size 26"x28" made in the year 1939 as shown on the painting. There is some note at the back " Pablo Picasso London art Rock Farnaniniz present painting" Pablo's signature in black ink is also visible. I found this framed painting in an old Villa I purchased.
I found this in an old Villa I purchased some time back.
Dear Arunbhai,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a painting on canvas with the measurements of 26" x 28". The artwork depicts a style and motif which reminds of the famous artist Pablo Picasso. Nor the style, the quality of the composition neither the handwriting is comparable to authenticated artworks by Pablo Picasso.
Works by this artist were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
These arguments classify this artwork as a forgery.
With kind regards,
Georg
Dear Mr. George,
Thank you for your response.
Can you please clarify what exactly you mean by " The presented object appears to be a drawing on paper with the measurements of 6.25 x 7.75 inches"
Painting which I submitted for appraisal is an oil painting on canvas of 26" x 28" in size.
I will appreciate your feedback earliest possible.
Thank you with Kind regards.
Dear Arunbhai,
I corrected the technique and the measurements. They were possibly transferred from another estimation because this artwork is obviously a painting. As mentioned the details of the painting itself, the composition, and besides that the shape of the frame is not connected to the works of Pablo Picasso.
With kind regards,
Georg
Dear Mr. George,
I am sorry but I am not satisfied with your answer.
So far as composition is of the work is concerned, you certainly can compare with the style of the artist but I don't understand how frame can be a deciding factor.
Dear Arunbhai,
Thank you for your email. Picasso would not use such a frame and stretcher. This frame would have been old fashioned for him.
With kind regards,
Georg
Can you please specify in one word that this one is "fack" and not "original."
