20”x 12” Painting/ Drawing on paper.
I acquired this from a local art auction. It was described as 1940 original watercolor signed. That is all I know about it.
Dear Dominic,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a watercolor drawing on paper with the measurements of 20 x 12 inches. The drawing depicts the portrait of a man and shows heavy unsureness in the depiction of anatomy and perspective. It is signed with a not clear readable signature which could be interpreted as "Picoso". This artist was a not academically educated artist as we can see at the problems in depiction and anatomy.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 10 to 30 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
