The painting is 18x22.5. Paper backing and is of boy with hands in pickets. I can’t make out the name of the artist. It was purchased at an auction in the 1980’s
No known history
Dear Nikki,
Thank you for your help and my sincere apologies for the delay with the apprisal.
The presented object appears to be a color lithograph on paper or cardboard with the measurements of 22,5 x 18 inches. The print depicts a blond boy in a costume that reminds of Dutch traditional costumes. It is signed in the print probably with the name "Stenn" or "Srenn". This piece was made in the first half of the 20th century most probably in the 1920s or 1930s.
Works by this artist were recently not offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 40 to 80 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
I have attached a few more photos for you. Thank you.
