Port de Montreal 1885
This is an old photograph of the port in Montreal. Seller was advised that it is a photograph of the original. The frame needs to be replaced and the photograph has yellowed.
The photograph was purchased at the Perth Antique Show and Sale on July 8, 2018 from a dealer who resides in Merrickville.

Thank you for the additional images and your patience. regarding a technical issue, the new images were not displayed. This is a photograph depicting the port of the city Montreal in 1885. The motif shows the harbor with ships, the embarking points and the city line in the background. Sadly on the base of this photos, we can't verify the technique and if this is a photo from this time. This could also be a later photographic reproduction of an original photo proof from
An estimation for an original photo from the late 19th century would be between 200 to 400 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
