This doll could be fairly old as my mother believes it could have been her grandmothers, I have not been able to find any doll with the same head or outfit as her either. She seems to be porcelain but has seams on her like she was made from a mold, she also has wooden clogs. Her arms and legs are posable. it is 11 inches tall included in the outfit are socks, wooden clogs white dress, blue dress, apron, bonnet (comes off but I think it was originally glued on)
11 inches tall
from grandmother who could've gotten it from her mother.

Hi Amber,
That's useful, thank you. This doll is mostly made of what we call "composition,"...it's sort of like papier mache only a little harder and, as you've probably realized, can become fragile over time. It sounds like the torso is either straw or something like wood shavings, which we call "excelsior." Composition dolls are not very popular on the market right now, hence the relatively low value (it's not uncommon for these dolls to have greater "sentimental value" than actual "market value".
You're all set with this one - thanks!
Delia
This has no markings on it at all, the torso is softer but does feel like it could be filled with straw. also feeling it again It the arms and legs and head feel a little like plastic? but it still seems fragile and breakable so I cant really tell the material it is made of
