The rifle is a Werndl manufactured in Vienna by Steyr, the condition of the rifle is good, the stock is good, the barrel is excellent, and it has shown years of use, but not in bad condition. Made of Walnut + Steel. The rifle appears to be a Werndl Carbine that i cannot find information on. There are no barrel bands, there is a nose cap with a screw and a barleycorn sight, and a bayonet lug. Usually werndl carbines dont have all of those, so I am a bit confused on what I have. The real kicker is the "Native American" tacks on one side of the gun suggesting it was used perhaps in tribal policing or something along those lines.
Barrel length is 26 inches Over all length is 39 1/2 inches
