Small 5x7 sketch labels no 18
Estate auction. Certificate of authenticity included
Dear Andrew,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a painting made in oil or acrylic paint on canvas with the measurements of 7 x 5 inches. This is a modern reproduction after the etching by Rembrandt with the title "The Adoration of the Shepherds, with the lamp" which was made around 1654. This lithograph was made probably in the late 19th or more probable in the 20th century.
Works by this artist were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 50 to 100 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
