Excellent condition. I don't know much else about it. It looks to be bronze. It is 57 pounds including the base.

OK, thanks for taking a look at letting me know. During his life, bronzes were cast at the Roman Bronze Works, which has a circular mark and would have been fairly prominent (ie, on the top or side of the bronze, not on the bottom). Not having this mark indicates that this was made posthumously and is not worth quite as much as his lifetime castings.

It has a marble base so I can't see underneath the bronze. I don't see anything on the bronze.
