Crystal Ash Receiver, Dish, Bowl. Measures 12.5cm at it's widest, 4.5cm at it's narrowest, 6cm at it's tallest height, 3cm at its lowest height, and 18.5cm at its longest length. The inside depth is 2.5-3cm. The base diameter is 6.5cm. The base is signed Lalique / France. It has an etched geometric pattern that resembles a spring onion bulb cut in half.
It was left to me by a dear friend who said he found at a flea market outside Paris. That I know, it has never been photographed or featured for a publication or in an exhibit. I have not been able to find any reference to it online.
Dear Christian,
Thank you for your request. The presented object appears to be a Lalique glass bowl with the measurements of 18,5 x 6 x 12.5 cm. This piece has an oblong ground shape and is decorated with an etched and profiled wave motif. The bowl is marked with "Lalique France". I also could not find any comparison piece in auction databases and literature. Sadly the verification of this piece needs long-term library research.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
A preliminary estimation would be between 200 to 400 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
