Sacred Heart of Jesus original Chalk Pastel on paper over canvas in frame w/glass. Approximately 22.5" x 21.5". No signature found but similar to Charles Bosseron Chambers work. Perfect condition. Frame is beautiful also. I found this at a thrift store so I don't have any back history. FYI*I found a similar style pastel with the exact same frame (no artist signature) on "Birchard-Hayes.com "ANTIQUE ORIGINAL PASTEL ST. JOSEPH AND BABY JESUS IN CARVED WOOD FRAME Regular price $2,495.00"

Dear Mandi,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a pastel drawing on paper with the measurements of 22.5 x 21.5 inches. The artwork depicts Jesus Christ in the motif of the "Sacred Hearth" in a frontal view which reminds of other artworks of the artist Charles Bosseron CHAMBERS (1882-1964). This artwork is not signed. The pose which is inspired by Byzantine art in the late 19th century so this argument is not strong enough for attribution to Bosseron. Nevertheless, this pastel was made by an academical educated artist probably from France or Belgium in the first half of the 20th century.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 300 to 500 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
