Thank you for your appraisal inquiry with MeArto. The group presented appears a collection of four photogenic prints by Charles Henry Sawyer (American; 1868 - 1954). Titles may be inscribed to the verso of the prints. Each print appears to be signed "Sawyer" by the artist.

Sawyer was an American painter and photographer who worked mainly in the New England area. He worked with well-known photo painter Wallace Nutting for many years. Similar to Wallace, most finished photographs sold by Charles Sawyer were hand-painted. Few photographs were sold as black and white, and Sawyer's sepia offerings were even less common.

Unfortunately, photographs by Sawyer have not been seen in the auction market since 2016 - 2017. The estimate provided is based on those past auction estimates and results of signed photogenic prints by Sawyer. Additionally, the estimate is applied to the presented collection of four prints.
