Hello Twyaka,
I’m very glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal,
Considering the photographs, overall pattern, porcelain quality and the colours, I concluded that this is an Entirely Hand Painted Schmitt et Fils Bebe Porcelain Doll. The piece dates back to the period from 1878 to 1891. The piece were first marked by the company in 1867 but only short after the 1878 Paris Fair which the company won an award with their "Bebes" they started to export pieces. Hence, this piece is likely from the suggested periods. The piece is jointed on the legs, knees, shoulders, wrists and elbows. This piece appears to be one of their most produced model, Bébé Schmitt. The piece however does not still wear the original clothes. The clothes appear to be somewhat contemporary, also without signs of use and age. The style also does not fit with the period, hence are not original. The piece has the crossing hammer mark of the company and a writing that says "Con". The piece is very decorative and collectable. The piece is in good condition without visible problems.
Entirely hand painted.
