Silver/Copper?
Unknown
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful silverplated set. Such silverplated pots are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The set was made in the early 1900s when this type of household items were in fashion. The silverplating has rubbed off on some areas and you can see the copper shining through.
The bowl and the jardiniere with glass bowl may also be made of silverplated metal as was common with these items too. The appraisal is for all the items sold together.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online silver auction, where I believe the pots and bowls has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the lovely silverplated items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
Thank you
Thank you for your comment. I have not been able to identify the maker or manufacturer of your silverplated items.
Kind regards
It says Sheffield silver on copper on the bottom
Thank you for your comment. The term Sheffield Silver on Copper was used by many manufacturers at this time. I have not been able to identify the mark with the 2 crossing keys.
Kind regards
Who is the Maker please :-)
