Description

A well-preserved fossilised carapace of Stylemys, an extinct genus of terrestrial tortoise from the Eocene epoch (approximately 34–56 million years ago). This specimen, discovered in North America, exhibits clear scute patterning and retains its overall three-dimensional form, despite natural age-related cracking and minor surface loss.
