Unknown maker, unknown age. Excellent condition with some signs of use. Appears to have been hand blown to me. Unsure right now if I want help selling or promoting it, but go ahead and provide that information, in case I do. I am mainly interested in identification and appraisal, first.
14.5 inches high x 7.5 inches wide at widest point. I do not have a weight but it is heavy to me, like maybe 8 pounds.
Hi Colleen,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
For unmarked glass, unless it's done in a particular style or the history of the piece is known, it's very hard to make an attribution. This looks like it could have been made in Murano (Venice) Italy but even that is subject to some debate and discussion.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage blue and white vase
International Art Glass school, mid 20th Century
Of circular section and with an exaggerated tapered form, with aqua-blue rim over a body with alternating clear/opalescent white "ribs" on an inset foot. Unmarked.
14-1/2 inches high, 7-1/2 inches diameter
CONDITION: This vase appears to be in good condition; value assumes no chips, breaks, repairs or losses
PROVENANCE: Acquired at auction
$50-70*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, or questions/concerns, and thank you again for using Mearto.
