This was passed on from friends. Don't know anything about it. It says EP BRASS on the bottom of the sugar and creamer but not teapot. I think that means electro -plated brass. The designs look similar but not sure if theyre identical. Possibly a mixed set? Is this silver? If so is there any value to it?
Don't know
Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This is what you suggested, a silver plated brass set, a coffee pot, creamer and sugar pot and tray. The design is based on late 19th century silver items, the coffee pot is tall as was required then. Before the invention of the filter paper people used to put the freshly ground coffee powder directly into the coffee pot and added hot water. The coffee powder then had to settle at the bottom. The set in your possession was made in China in the 1960s or later for export to western countries. The overall execution is rather simple, there is no maker´s mark. The estimate is based on similar items sold at auction. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the item.
