What does this mean?

Thank you for submitting the item for appraisal. Since the 1970s archaeology has learned more about these quartz crystal skulls. I has been proven not long ago, that these skulls were invented by an antiques dealer in the late 19th century. The skull pendant in your possession has a bit of modern history itself, having been produced to satisfy the demand of collectors before 1970 but possibly not very much earlier . The estimate is based on similar cut quartz crystal skulls sold at auction.
