Still life Oil painting on wood about 10x12
Estate sale.
This is a vintage later 20th century, small, 10" x 12" sized, framed painting by a listed 20th/21st century New York based American painter named Thomas Kerry. The frame is typical of those made in Mexico in the 1970s. The work itself is referred to as a vanitas, which is a still life depiction of how life is fleeting. Although this artist has a moderate list of past auction sales, the actual hammer prices are usually lower than the estimates. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
