Tiffany Style Quoizel Peacock Lamp
Shade 24" wide, Height to top of finial about 29" lacing design around edge with inset red jewels. The lamp is very heavy, I can't pick up to dust under it. I was guessing brass but read more about bronze. Double peacocks, bubbled blown glass in center of body of lamp between birds. Blue glass light switch at base surrounded by leaf pattern.

This is the nicest Quoizel lamp I've ever seen. Most Quoizel lamps bring around $100 at auction these days but the shaping of the shade and the presence of peacocks on the base are quite nice so this is worth a higher estimate. I'm hesitant to over-estimate it, particularly in this market but if this were placed in an auction with some other art nouveau things, I think it would stand out.

The domed shade with wisteria-variation in swirled segments over a bronze and leaded glass "jeweled' base featuring two peacocks and foliate detailing, electrified.

PROVENANCE: acquired at the auction of a storage unit
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition, with wear commensurate to age and use.
