The presented object appears to be a painting made in oil on board with measurements of 25 x 20 cm. The painting depicts an older man in the costume of the upper class with the tools of a goldsmith. This motif is known by an etching by the artist Johannes II LUTMA (1624-1685/89). I attach an image for the comparison here: https://picryl.com/media/lutma-janus-de1e92. On the reverse side, we can read the notes "Janus Lutma", Goldsmith", "Rembrandt", "Egmont", and "goldsmith".There are just etchings are known by Johannes II LUTMA (1624-1685/89) and etching is made in a closed artistic procedure and not after painting or an image in another medium. It is thinkable that this painting was made after the etching either in the second half of the 17th century or in the second half of the 19th century, which is more possible. For example, the modulation of the hand show weakness which speaks for the 19th century. Also, this appears to be a pinewood board and not an oak board which was common in the 17th century for paintings because of its durability. This is very hard to decide just on the base of images.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 600 to 1.200 USD.
