I purchased this doll at an online auction. The doll is 10-1/2" in length, has a porcelain head, stuffed body and yarn hair. There is a stamping on back of neck but it's nearly impossible to identify. I believe it's 3 characters (a combination of letters and numbers).

Dear Joanne,
Thank you for your patience and your second look.
The presented object appears to be a bisque porcelain head doll with measurements of 10 1/2 inches in height. The doll depicts a boy with dungarees and a hat. This doll is not clearly hallmarked and the producer is not identifiable. The number or combination in his neck is probably a model number. This piece was made in the second half of the 20th century regarding the design and the condition of the surface.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 15 to 30 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
George
Hello George,. I really can't make out the markings any better than what you are able to see in the photo. The clothing on the doll is stitched closed (not able to remove) and the collar, around the neck, sits up too high.
Would you be able to tell me if this style of doll, porcelain head, cloth body and yarn hair, is indicative of a certain time period. I have not been able to locate anything like this online. The painted face and yarn hair makes me think this doll may be antique.
Thank you,
Joanne
