Lever action rifle, 44-40, very good condition, action and magazine smooth and tight,all rifling visible. Product number #1487 stamped. There is 8 inches on the left forearm darkened from fire. Wood not damaged but dark. Looks like the wild west.

Family stories, I am full blood Cherokee, my Great Grand Father from a news paper article killed a Native American Chief. My Father, passed away said this was the rifle used in self defense it was determined. The news can be found but nothing but family word about the rifle.
