A Renaissance Revival carved walnut armchair
American or English, late 19th Century
The arched crest over back carved with acanthus and armorial devices, scrolling arms over a trapezoidal over-the-rail leather upholstered seat, raised on block-and-turned legs joined by an arched front stretcher and turned side stretchers.
(DIMENSIONS)
CONDITION: upholstery probably a later replacement. Seating springs possibly original.
PROVENANCE: acquired from an old house being remodeled.
