What does this mean?

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be an art deco era 1930s so called Chippendale style reproduction furniture carver chair, re-upholstered in the 1950s and now in deplorable condition, more or less a restoration project. Studebaker country used to be a wealthy area and apparently is going to be again, but I assume the chair was not made there but more likely by one of the larger manufacturers in the East. Such furniture was typically sold in department stores. The estimate is for a comparable chair in good condition sold or offered at auction. A chair with broken frame will be difficult to restore and financially speaking it does no add up, unless it represents a high sentimental value to you.
