Hi Stacy,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Waterford Crystal is Ireland’s most famous crystal manufacturer, founded in 1783 in the city of Waterford. After closing in the 19th century, it was revived in 1947 and became internationally known for deep diamond and wedge cutting, brilliant, high-lead content crystal (traditionally ~30% lead oxide), and luxury tableware, stemware, chandeliers, and presentation pieces
Waterford chandeliers, in particular, became symbols of prestige in hotels, embassies, casinos, and formal residences. The "Avoca" model is one of the firm's classic chandelier patterns; it was produced in various sizes and configurations, ranging from 5 to 8 or more lights.
This is one of their smaller chandeliers and similar ones that have been sold at auction recently have realized prices ranging from $1,000-$2,000.
