Purchased at an antique shop more than 10 years ago. It is very heavy and appears to be brass.

This is a large torchiere-form cast brass table lamp with a wonderful smoky-colored alabaster shade; it's made in the Renaissance Revival style, probably mid 20th Century. Most of the value in this lamp comes from the shade, which gives off a luminous glow.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

unattributed maker, mid 20th Century
Surmounted by an inverted smoky-alabaster tulip-form shade seated in a circular fitting with waterleaf detailing over a woven bulbous element with double S-scrolls, over a knopped standard seated into a pyramidal base with woven accents and a papyrus top, on shaped feet. Underside of foot bearing a Made in China / San Pacific Intl SPI San Francisco retailer's label. Electrified.
Overall height: 35 inches (including 6-inch-tall alabaster )
CONDITION: This lamp appears to be in good condition; value assumes no repairs to the lamp base or shade
