Solid wood, constructed without nails or any metal using Chinese jointed carpentry. Table measures 27 inches left to right. Table is 11 inches in height. Measures 17 inches front to back. Table is extremely well built and very sturdy weighing 19.5lbs. When inspecting closing can see the jointed wood pegs in the joints.
Acquired upon the purchase of an estate. Original owner and his family worked for the United States Government and were stationed in Thailand during the 1960's through 1970's due to the Vietnam conflict. Table was given to former owner as a gift from a special friend whom they met while living there. Table was given to former owner as a gesture for him to meditate and sit in silence daily to gain focus and peace. Acquired this info from gentleman's wife. Do believe it to be very old by looking and inspecting the construction.
