"1907" is the color code rather than the year this was made - Couristan filed a trademark for “GEM” (for rugs) on January 23, 1987, so any rug made by them with this label is not quite 40 years old or less.

Couristan rugs hold up well and ones of this size (5.5 x 8.3), color (dark earthy tones) and composition (12 blocks of stylized medallions centered within a floral motif) - have been selling at auction recently for between $500 and $800, a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
