There was a time in chinnese history, where a lot of chinnese antigue was being shipped oversea, in order to keep these Chineese sculptures safe from 1 of the chinnese rullers. This item was then shipped and sold to Europe.

Your statue is made in China in first half 20th century towards mid 20th century I believe. I believe its late republic period. Carving is a little rough and that makes a big difference for the price. I also take the small damage into consideration. A big statue like this is interesting in Chinese art market from this moment. I believe if this came to auction a fair price would be around the estimate I gave you.
