Found The desk in Natchez. MS along the Ms River. There are no markings. Chinese letters on both doors. Hand carved picture of Chinese people , very much detail ,shelf on top inside top door shelf on two sides retangal thin board that slides in and out on each side

The correct translation poses a problem, something about an office and protection. The estimate is based on similar desks of the same period sold at auction.
