Length of neck flap top to bottom 27cm
Bought in Hong Kong in early 1980's from a trusted Chinese trader who occasionally brought such items back from business trips to China.
Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a late Qing dynasty child´s windhat, delicately embroidered with peonies and cherry blossoms above waves, and a figure hold a bow, most likely representing Zhang Xian 張仙, an immortal associated with fertilitiy. The quality of the embroidery is very fine and the design well balanced. The estimate is based on similar items offered or sold at auction. "Asking prices" in the trade can be higher and vary.
