6cm high, 10.5cm wide. Badly worn on folds. Still contains original herbs, though no longer fragrant.
Bought in Hong Kong in early 1980s, from a trader who brought it back from a business trip to China.
Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a nodule embroidered chinese fragrant purse or pouch, decorated lotus and flower design, tassel, knots, a faux (?) calabash shaped bead or pearl, some wear to the folds, embroidery intact. The purse in your possession is a fine example of chinese needlework, the damages are consistent with age. The estimate is based on similar items offered or sold at auction. "Asking prices" in the trade can be higher and vary.
