Dear Victoria,,
You have a late 19th century Chinese plate of the Celadon type. Celadon is normally green ground color and was an attempt of the Chinese potters to come close to the color of jade. This goes back to the 10th century in China and was viable due to the popularity in Chinese Imperial court. Later on also blue ground color was used. The sign in the middle is called ''double happiness'' and is used often as ornament. Chinese market is very good at the moment. Although your plate is very common and not very fine painted the prices of Chinese antiques are going up aal the time. I believe in 5 years your plate is risen in price. My estimation is based on a plate with no damage like small cracks.
