What does this mean?

Dear Molly,

What you have is an Indonesian landscape painting made in recent times ( 1980 or later ). These are made by local artists mainly in touristic places and sold to tourist. Usually they are impressions of the surroundings of the place but I heard that they appear also to be the fantasy of the maker. Colorful and decorative. I do not believe these are painting on silk.
