What does this mean?

Watercolor by unknown artist made in China 1942 ( its dated ).It says autumn in Chang'an. Chang'an is a Capital City in Central China and known as an ancient city. Work is dated 1942 as said but no makers mark. Nice painted and attractive watercolor. Estimate is a little uncertain but I think it will be a fair reflection.
