I've not be able to find another artist with first - or last name - Fairfax who painted in this style but it is similar to other works by early 20th Century European artists. As a large painting by an unknown artist, the value is primarily decorative.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
Continental School, possibly French or Spanish, first half 20th Century
Urban landscape
oil on canvas
signed FAIRFAX lower right
30 by 40 sight size; giltwood frame 36 by 48 inches
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition
PROVENANCE: inherited

For some reason they send me emails said I didn't make a payment and I won't get it appraised I don't know what they're talking about it's already been appraised and I did make a payment I've got the receipt
