This is a vintage mid 20th century painting that depicts a portrait of a Native American Indian elder or chief wearing a head dress. The work appears to be signed "T. Ruxton" however the signature is supposed to be J. Ruxton. There is scant information on this artist though there are a number of similar works of portraits of Native American Indians from the 1960's signed J. Ruxton that have been offered for sale. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
