Dear Victoria,
This fishbowl or planter is made in recent times and has the characteristics of Japanese wear. The way the pot is painted with the panels and the decoration is a Japanese way of doing things. Having said that; Chinese potters are copying everything so its possible, since its not very old, it was done in China. Most recent wears are made there the past 30 years. So could be made 1990 or 2010 that I'm not sure of. Its nott an antique that I can say. The fact that it is hand painted and quite big makes it desirable for people to buy. Its an impressive piece and as a decorative piece interesting. My estimate is based on that.
