40X48, 15LBS, I was informed the artist had included pure gold as apart of the coat seen. Artist steams from Asia.
The previous private owner from Japan.
This is a later 20th century, 1980's, limited edition framed color lithograph or serograph print of a Deco style illustration of a woman by the French, Russian-born artist Romain de Tirtoff (1892 - 1990). This is not Asian. It is notated as A.P. 13/50, meaning this one of 50 Artist's Proofs. There appears to be a signature in the lower margin at right signed Erte, which would be a very helpful close-up photo to add especially if you are considering selling. The frame is made to match the Deco style of the image of the female figure. Although the gold is real, there is no longer a precious metal meltdown value as the cost to extract the gold would exceed the value of the amount extracted. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
Thank you for the additional information; the valuation has been adjusted accordingly.
Please be advise that the lower left hand corner shows "AP 13/50". Does that change anything? If so, what would you adjust your appraisal to?
Thank you
