The large plate came to us from relatives in Los Angeles who have passed. It is approx. 24" across.
Relative from Los Angeles, CA. They owned it in 1960 when I was young but don't have any idea how they obtained it or how long they had it before 1960.
A Japanese Cloisonné plate from Meiji period Japan made ca. 1900. Work is of good quality. In the decoration mount Fuji is visible the most famous mountain, and highest mountain of Japan. Its a common theme on many art objects from Japan in 19th and 20th century. Its size its huge. This size you do not see often. Be aware that Cloisonné needs to be in perfect condition. A small dent will diminish its value quickly.
